Resonance in Chiral Perturbation Theory
Abstract:
The electromagnetic
nucleon to Δ transition form factors are investigated
in the framework of manifestly covariant chiral
perturbation theory. The calculation includes quantities
at one loop level up to chiral order three in the
„small scale expansion”. The Δ resonance is included
as an explicit degree of freedom. The ρ meson is
included in a semi-phenomenological approach at
tree level. The momentum dependence of the magnetic
dipole, electric quadrupole and Coulomb quadrupole
transition form factor is compared to experimental
data.
