Efficient sources for spectroscopy of excited mesons in lattice QCD

 


Abstract:

We construct a variational basis of interpolating fields containing both Jacobi-smeared quark sources of a Gaussian type as well as derivative quark sources. These interpolators are used to extract the ground and lowest lying excited states for pseudoscalar, scalar, vector and pseudovector mesons.
