Christof Gattringer (Graz):

QCD Phase Transition and Fermionic Boundary Conditions

Abstract:

At a critical temperature QCD changes it behavior: Quarks become deconfined and chiral symmetry is restored. As the two phenomena appear at roughly the same temperature, it has been speculated that they might be linked to each other. We revisit and study this idea by exploring the role of generalized fermionic boundary conditions.
