Testing Foundational Issues of Quantum Mechanics at Accelerator Facilities

Abstract:

This talk gives an overview over various fundamental tests of the quantum theory, such as e.g. superposition or Bell's nonlocality and its puzzling relation to discrete symmetries, for systems in the realm of High Energy Physics. I focus on the basic theoretical ideas and report on experiments, mainly on experiments by the KLOE collaboration (see also talk of Antonio Di Domenico) that have been and will be performed to tackle fundamental issues of quantum information theory and particle physics.
