Gigi Rolandi (CERN):
CMS status and physics
Abstract:
CMS has recorded more than 5 fb-1 of
proton proton collisions at 7 TeV with a trigger rate of few hundred Hertz. The bandwidth
was allocated in priority to searches, especially searches for the Higgs Boson and
SuperSymmetry. About 1/3 of the bandwidth was allocated to Standard Model Physics, including
b-Physics. Recent physics results from the analysis of a fraction of this dataset will be
reported.
