Carlos Lourenco (CERN):
The beauty of quarkonium suppression, from the SPS to the LHC
Abstract:
I will review the status of sequential
quarkonium suppression as a clear-cut signature of quark-gluon plasma formation in
high-energy heavy-ion collisions, from the charming times of J/ψ suppression at the
SPS to the beautiful prospects of Upsilon studies at the LHC. Emphasis will be placed
on the experimental measurements and on phenomenological studies aimed at helping in
their interpretation.
