QED in finite volume and finite size scaling effect on electromagnetic properties of hadrons

Abstract:

To study the electromagnetic correction to the hadronic property by means of lattice simulation, we begin with formulating a new QED in finite volume. By adopting this formalism to the low energy effective theory, we calculate the finite size scaling of pseudo-scalar meson masses. Then we determine the light quark masses from QCD+QED lattice imulation, by using pseudo-scalar meson masses as inputs.
