Metric interpetation of gauge fields in noncommutative geometry

Abstract:

We shall give an overview of the metric intepretation of gauge fields in noncommutative geometry, via Connes distance formula. Especially we shall focus on the Higgs fields in the standard model, and gauge fields in various models of fiber bundle.
