Type-II Goldstone bosons

Abstract:

Lorentz noninvariance allows for spontaneous symmetry breaking characterized by nonzero charge densities. The nonzero charge density of non-Abelian continuous symmetry is tightly connected to the anomalous counting of the Goldstone states and their quadratic dispersion laws. To illustrate this phenomenon we investigate the low energy behaviour of two-flavor two-color QCD at a finite chemical potential for one flavor.
