Higgs Mechanism and Nonlinear Phenomena in Canonical Stochastic Quantization

 


Abstract:

Stochastic quantization provides an intriguing connection between quantum field theory and statistical mechanics. New phenomena arise when employing nonlinear Brownian motion as underlying stochastic process. Scalar fields and the Higgs mechanism are discussed.
