Rare Meson Decays in theories beyond the Standard Model

Abstract:

In the standard model, since B-L conservation is exact, decays that violate lepton number are forbidden. But B-L and L violation is expected in theories beyond the S.M. That is why neutrinoless double beta decay has long been recognized as a sensitive tool to put theories beyond the S.M. to the test. There are several mechanisms that may cause such processes. We consider physics sources for these decays, concentrating on massive Majorana neutrinos and R-parity-violating supersymmetric theories. We calculated rare decays of meson into other meson and two leptons of the same sign.
